After a good life and 2 amazing children who are now adults, I met the woman who I always knew existed. She is the most amazing person that I could’ve ever wished for. She supports me in “all my crazy dreams” and I couldn’t imagine a better life at 61 years old. Every time I look at her, I melt inside. I’d do anything for her. This song is so close to home it scares me, but also warms my heart.

Like almost everyone, there are plenty of things in this song that brings tears every time I hear it. I have a little over 100 acres of family land here in Northeast Texas. Jan 18,1994 I was dragged to a church against my will ,I was on my way to commit suicide , I’d lost a second wife and just wasn’t willing to bear that pain again . A man I had run off from my home calls saying God told him to get to me .. I laugh and tell him not to forget my warning to him ,but all my guns were in pawn .. I take a bath ,put on my best clothes and smell coffee brewing . When I go into my kitchen he acts like he is trying to hug me but takes me down and gets my truck keys out of my pocket , He promised to give them back if I go one place with him . He takes me to a small church on top of a mountain , I remember how pretty the city looked below ,all the traffic lights looking like an airport runway . I go in .set on the last pew . A little man comes in and stops and starts to cry .. “There is someone in here who is hurting so bad I feel your pain . Please come up and let me pray for you or leave because I can’t do anything feeling this much pain . I got up to leave . Last thing I remember until I see this man holding me ,and both of us are soaked in tears .. From that moment on I never have drank or done drugs again .. The desire was just gone . I didn’t suffer a second of withdrawal.. I was taking Dilaudid ,drinking a case and a half of beer a day ,a 1/4 of weed every 3 days .. I had to work constantly to keep my bills paid and pay for my addiction,I’m an overachiever,I don’t do anything 1/2 way .. I got into Gods word . I’d read 7-10 hours a day . In church every time the door was open . Started going to prayer meetings to pray for others .. I played church for 18 yrs . Even became a preacher . Got my kids back I’d had taken from me for 12 yrs . A few years ago when I gave up on Christ bringing back a woman that no longer loved me and actually surrendered my heart to him ,instead of her . He changed me .. Now I can say I’m a born again son of God . I share this testimony with you to say , When he heals you your not in recovery ,your healed .. Get with him ,right where you are .. Confess you know you’re a sinner worthy of death but you plead the blood . You want him . Whatever stands between you and him removed .. Accept by faith he heard you .. Get into his word ,, Study until you no longer feel pain and keep studying .. I know he can heal .. He healed me Jan 18,1994
